How we calculate this
- Traffic grows each month by one twelfth of the annual rate you choose. Because the growth compounds, a full year ends slightly above the rate you chose.
- Each month’s visits × conversion rate × order value gives that month’s revenue.
- Return on investment compares all organic revenue in the period with the total SEO cost (monthly investment × months). Revenue from the traffic you already have is included.
- You break even in the first month where revenue to date covers cost to date.
